The Kenyan Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has advertised a mass recruitment drive for the upcoming 2022 general election jobs. The commission is targeting to recruit 418000 Kenyans to fill the various vacant positions.

Some of the vacant positions available include 47 Deputy county returning officers,290 Deputy constituency returning officers, 52481 Presiding officers, 52481 deputy presiding officers, 389 logistic officers, 5817 support electoral trainers, 580 ICT clerks, and 302860 Polling clerks.
Other available jobs include, 47 county-based voter educators,290 constituency voter educators, and 2900 ward voter educators.
What is the applications process?
To apply for the IEBC 2022 election jobs, you should visit the IEBC job portal and submit your details as per the job requirements. The closure date for the application process is set for the 5th of May 2022. The commission has also clarified that it will only contact the shortlisted candidates.
2022 elections will happen on the 9th of August this year targeting to elect various government office holders. These include president, Governors, Senators, women representatives, members of the national assembly, and the members of the county assemblies.
Elections in Kenya happen every 5 years with the last elections happening in 2017. One key thing you need to know is that these IEBC 2022 election jobs are temporary.
